General Description

A terrestrial herb 25-38 cm tall; stems glabrous. Leaves three, elliptic-ovate or elliptic, acuminate or acute, 6-13 long, 3.6-7.5 cm wide, very sparsely glandular pubescent especially at base and towards the apex, sparsely pubescent on the veins, subtended by two to three sheaths. Inflorescence one-flowered; bract ovate to ovate-elliptic, acuminate or acute, 6-8 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, sparsely pubescent. Flower light greenish yellow, glabrous on outer surface; pedicel and ovary 3.5-4.1 cm long, very sparsely glandular pubescent towards the apex. Dorsal sepal ovate-elliptic, acuminate, 3.3-3.8 long, 1.5-1.7 cm wide. Synsepal ovate to lanceolate, acutely bifid at the apex, 3.3-3.8 long, 0.12-1.5 cm wide. Petals spreading, untwisted, somewhat obliquely lanceolate, acuminate, 3-4 cm long, 0.9-1.2 cm wide, pubescent at the base on the inner surface, with somewhat undulate lateral margins. Lip rather shallowly saccate, subellipsoid, 3-3.6 cm long, with marked infolded side lobes. Column 1-1.4 cm long; staminode subporrect, trullate, c. 1cm long, longitudinally grooved along mid-vein, glabrous; filaments acute.
