Fragrant subshrub or shrublet, 0.3–0.4 m tall; stems erect or ascending from a woody base, shortly and densely canescent with spreading to recurved hairs

Leaves subsessile, mostly lobed with a narrowly lanceolate main lobe and with 2(–4) shorter lateral lobes, occasionally narrowly lanceolate to linear, up to 25–40 × 12–20 mm in outline, margin revolute, entire (except for the lobes), shortly and rather densely canescent on both sides
