    Habit
    A densely branching shrub to ± 2m. high, introduced from Central America as an ornamental.
    Leaves
    Its small lanceolate leaves ± 3 cm. long are unexceptional.
    Inflorescences
    In flower the branch apices are smothered with clusters of tiny cyathia bearing inconspicuous petaloid glands and subtended by showy creamy-white oblanceolate bracts ± 1 cm. long.
