    Habit
    Succulent herb, base unknown; stems slender, erect, 15–20 cm high, branching above the base, younger stems minutely but densely papillose.
    Leaves
    Leaves alternate, fleshy, linear, 15–20 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, acute-apiculate; axillary hairs in shaggy tufts, a few falcate-based hair-like scales also present.
    Inflorescences
    Flowers terminal, solitary or paired, encircled by 8 involucral leaves and short hairs enclosing only the capsule base; involucral leaves resembling the foliar but 25–30 mm long, widely spreading.
    Flowers
    Sepals narrowly ovate, thinly membranous and slightly shining, narrowed to aprominent beak ± 1.5 mm long, outer sepal 8 mm long, the inner slightly smaller; petals 5, rose-pink, elliptic, 6 mm long, sharply acute; stamens 10.
    Fruits
    Capsule elongate, dehiscing near the base, base 1.5 mm long, almost flat across the top, lid narrowly conical, 6 mm high, about twice as high as wide, thinly crustaceous; stigma 3-branched; seeds 1 mm long, dull grey, the testa cells shallowly domed, their walls only slightly sinuous, not jigsaw-shaped or stellate.
