    Leaves
Leaves thick and fleshy, obliquely ovate to obliquely suborbicular, (8–)14–30 × (6–)10–25 cm, base cordate, margin entire to broadly denticulate (with minute teeth extending from lateral veins), apex commonly shortly caudate to acuminate; venation palmate, glabrescent to sparsely indumented above, glabrescent to densely indumented beneath, particularly on venation; petiole 5–23 cm long, glabrous or evenly pubescent.
    Inflorescences
Inflorescence axillary, bisexual, the axes reduced, many-flowered; peduncle (0.5–)1–4 cm long; bracts 2, persistent, subtending and enveloping the inflorescence, overlapping, boat-shaped, 1.5–2.8(–3.5) cm long; bracteoles absent.
