    Glabrous or subglabrous climber.
    Leaves
    Leaves pinnate.
    Leaflets
    Leaflets 5–9, ovate to elliptic, to 8 × 5 cm, acute to cuspidate, coarsely dentate.
    Inflorescences
    Inflorescence a narrow panicle.
    Calyx
    Calyx 2.2–3.2 cm long, lobes over 1 cm long, cuspidate.
    Corolla
    Corolla orange red to red, tube 3.5–5 cm long, lobes 1.5–2.5 × 2.5–3.5 cm.
    Fruits
    Fruit not seen.
    Note
    Native of China. No East African material has been seen.
