- Habit
- Herb or subshrub, prostrate to erect, up to c. 30 cm high, covered by ± appressed tubercle-based hairs
- Leaves
- Leaves sessile or almost so; blade linear to lanceolate, 0.5–6 x 0.2–1.6 cm, acute to obtuse at the apex, with crenulate-undulate margins
- Inflorescences
- Flowers sessile in dense simple or branched cymes
- Calyx
- Calyx hairy; lobes linear-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, 1.75–3 mm long
- Corolla
- Corolla white or with yellow centre; tube 2.5–4 mm long, hairy outside; lobes 0.5–1 mm long

- Style up to 0.7 mm long; stigmatic head conical, c. 1 mm long

- Nutlets mostly 4, c. 2 mm long, ± rugose on the back, usually glabrous, sometimes slightly winged at edges.
