    Distribution
    Anthurium bonplandii is known throughout much of the northern Amazon basin, ranging from southeastern Colombia to southern Venezuela and to northern Brazil.
    Habitat
    Occurs on sandstone rocks of the Guiana shield as well as on granite boulders or granitic outcrops (materials originally underlying the Guiana shield) and on white sand deposited by eroded Guiana sandstone on the lowland plateau of the Tertiary Amazon Lakebed (Guerra, 1959).
