    General Description
    Stem shortened. LEAVES: Petiole 1.5-2.5 dm [15 - 25 cm] long, slender, short-geniculate; blades subcoriaceous, oblong-lanceolate, slightly obtuse at the base, acuminate at the apex, 1.2-1.6 dm [12 - 16 cm] long, 3.5-4 cm wide; primary lateral veins numerous, spreading at about a 90 degree angle, joined in a collective vein a little way from the margin. INFLORESCENCE: Peduncle about 2 dm [20 cm] long; spathe linear-lanceolate, about 2 cm long, 3-4 mm wide; acumen 5 mm long; spadix 3 cm long, stipitate 5 mm, [stipe] slender tepals 1.5 mm long, 1 mm wide; pistil 1.5 mm long, 1 mm diam., ovoid, conoid.

    Brazil. Serra dos Orgãos: on rocks in shrubbery beneath Campos das Centas.
