    Habit
    Terrestrial.
    Rhizomes
    Rhizome creeping, 4–5 mm diameter, with rather sparse brown narrowly triangular subentire acute clathrate rhizome scales ± 2 × 1 mm.
    Leaves
    Frond spaced, erect, not proliferous.
    Stipes
    Stipe matt green or brown, often fleshy, 12–35 cm long, with very few short hairs when young, glabrous with age and with a few scales similar to the rhizome scales near the base.
    Leaf lamina
    Lamina oblong to narrowly oblongacuminate, 18–35 × 8–17 cm, 1-pinnate, basal pinnae not reduced.
    Pinnae
    Pinna in 15–20 pairs, membranous, petiolate, rhombic, falcate, 3.5–8.5 × 1.3–1.7 cm, costa forming the basiscopic margin for ± 1/3 the length of the pinna, very unequally cuneate at the base, the costa forming the basiscopic margin at base, the acroscopic base parallel to rachis, serrate to mostly doubly serrate on the acroscopic margin and upper part of the basiscopic margin, broadly to narrowly acute, glabrous on both surfaces. %Rachis green or matt-brown with occasional multicellular hairs.
    Sori
    Sori 11–30, narrowly oblong, set at about 45° to the costa about midway between the costa and margin, 6–7 mm long.
    Indusium
    Indusium narrowly oblong, membranous, entire, 1 mm wide.
