    Lamina narrowly oblong, 35–70 cm long, 12–28 cm wide, bipinnatifid, with 5–10 pairs of lower pinnae gradually reduced, all auricled at acroscopic base or not; largest pinnae linear-lanceolate, 6–17 cm long, 7–16 mm wide, acuminate to a rather blunt apex, distinctly auricled at base, usually distinctly crenate-serrate for 1–1.5 mm but sometimes only slightly so, lower surface densely hairy and with spherical glands also some glands on upper surface; lobes shortly obliquely ovate, up to 3 mm long and wide; veins 4–6 pairs, 11/2 pairs anastomosing next to the short sinus-membrane
