    Habit
    Shrub 2–2.5 m high, with densely pubescent crenate-dentate leaves to 14 × 10 cm and spikes to 30(50) cm long and c. 6 mm wide (excluding corollas); corolla rose-coloured with tube tinged blue and throat often violet; stigma blue.
    Distribution
    Cultivated ornamental in Harare gardens.
