    Fertile lemma lanceolate; 6.7-9 mm long; chartaceous; without keel; 5 -veined. Lemma surface pubescent; hairy above. Lemma apex acute; mucronate. Palea 1 length of lemma; 2 -veined. Palea surface pubescent; hairy above. Apical sterile florets resembling fertile though underdeveloped.
    Flowers
    Anthers 3; 2.5-3.5 mm long.

    Caryopsis with adherent pericarp. Hilum linear.
