Morphology General Habit
A small genus with 2 species in Brazil. It is a shrub or small tree with small elliptic leaves, whitish-tomentose beneath, and large solitary flowers with conspicuous red filaments.
Note
F. sellowiana Berg. is grown in Rhodesian gardens for ornament or fruit.
