Ecology
Sand banks, mud flats, open parts of swamps, shallow pools, grassy edges of lakes etc., mostly seasonally wet places when just drying; 15–1550 m
Note
The authority ‘(Poir.) Vahl’ given by Napper (1965) and Vollesen is a slip. Gordon-Gray also gives this authority with a totally erroneous reference to Encycl. Meth. 1806.
