Morphology General Habit
Annual; caespitose. Culms geniculately ascending; 20-40 cm long. Leaf-sheath oral hairs ciliate. Leaf-sheath auricles falcate. Ligule an eciliate membrane. Leaf-blades 15-30 cm long; 5-10 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface scabrous; rough on both sides; glabrous.
