Perennial; caespitose. Stolons present. Culms geniculately ascending, or decumbent; 8-40 cm long; 2-5 -noded; rooting from lower nodes. Culm-internodes smooth. Leaf-sheaths without keel; smooth. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 1-6 mm long; obtuse. Leaf-blades 1-10 cm long; 0.5-5 mm wide. Leaf-blade surface ribbed; scaberulous. Leaf-blade apex acuminate.
