    Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle contracted; linear; 10-15 cm long. Primary panicle branches simple, or sparsely divided; 2-5 cm long; bearing spikelets almost to the base. Panicle branches smooth, or scaberulous. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled. Pedicels 2 mm long.
