Perennial. Stolons present. Culms erect, or decumbent; 10-60 cm long; rooting from lower nodes. Leaf-sheaths open for most of their length. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 2-8 mm long. Leaf-blades flat, or conduplicate; 4-14 cm long; 2-10 mm wide.
