Leaf-blades lanceolate, or ovate; 2.5-9 cm long; 3-6 mm wide; membranous. Leaf-blade surface pubescent; sparsely hairy; hairy on both sides. Leaf-blade margins cartilaginous.

    Inflorescence a panicle. Panicle open; pyramidal; 5-7.5 cm long; 3-5 cm wide. Primary panicle branches 1-2.5 cm long. Panicle branches capillary. Spikelets solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled.
