    Perennial. Rhizomes elongated. Culms 62-67.5 cm long. Ligule an eciliate membrane; 2-3 mm long. Leaf-blade base with a false petiole; petiole 8-12 cm long; petiole glabrous. Leaf-blades lanceolate to elliptic; 10-19 cm long; 10-35 mm wide.
