    Perennial; mat forming. Stolons present. Culms 1.5-10 cm long. Ligule a ciliate membrane. Leaf-blades filiform; convolute; 0.5-6 cm long; 0.5-1 mm wide.

    Inflorescence comprising only a few spikelets; comprising 1-2(-3) fertile spikelets; shorter than basal leaves. Spikelets ascending; solitary. Fertile spikelets pedicelled. Pedicels cuneate.
