- Annual herb 0.1–0.25 m tall
- Leaves
- Leaves sessile, linear, 10–30 × 1–5 mm, entire, conduplicate
- Inflorescences
- Inflorescence lax with 2–6-flowered verticils mostly remote
- Calyx
- Calyx 3–4 mm long, campanulate, weakly two-lipped with teeth lanceolate, posterior slightly longer than anterior; throat bearded
- Corolla
- Corolla white or pink, 4–7 mm long, tubular, dilating distally, 2-lipped
- Stamens
- Stamens 4, ascending under posterior lip.

- No specimen seen. A native of South Europe and West and Central Asia cultivated as a culinary herb
