    Tree or many-stemmed shrub 6–12(–18) m. high.

    Bark smooth, grey.

    Young branchlets puberulous or very shortly pubescent.

    Leaves:petiole and rhachis together 3.5–5(–7) cm. long; leaflets (5–)7–9, elliptic, with the lowest ones of the leaf ± ovate, (0.9–)1.5–4.5(–5.5) cm. long, 0.9–3.2 cm. wide, stiffly papery to subcoriaceous, obtuse to rounded often slightly emarginate not acuminate at apex, rounded to subcordate or less commonly ± cuneate at base, sparsely and inconspicuously pubescent (especially on midrib) to subglabrous; venation ± raised and reticulate on both surfaces.
    Flowers
    Flowers greenish-white, white or cream, in panicles up to 30 × 20 cm.; pedicels 1.5–2.5 mm. long, grey-puberulous.

    Sepals grey-puberulous outside, 2–2.5 mm. long.
    Corolla
    Petals 0.
    Stamens
    Stamens 2; filaments 1.5–2 mm. long; anthers 1.25–1.5 mm. long.
    Fruits
    Pods red to red-brown, obovoid-ellipsoid to subglobose, 1.3–1.8 cm. long, 1–1.3 cm. wide, puberulous outside.
    Seeds
    Seeds ± ellipsoid, 7–9 mm. long, 5–7 mm. wide, brown.
