    Diagnostic
    Differs from I. hirsuta as follows:the leaflets are usually up to 9 and sometimes 11 in number; hairs of the inflorescence and fruit are more often white, the peduncle less than 25 mm. long, the corolla paler, especially the standard which is usually paler than the wings, the pod ± 3 mm. thick instead of 2 mm. (in a plane at right-angles to that of the sutures) and up to 6-seeded.
