    Habit
    Procumbent annual, or perhaps sometimes perennial, herb forming mats up to 1 m. across; hairs fine, biramous, appressed.
    Leaves
    Stipules filiform, up to 3 mm. long; leaf-rhachis 8–15 mm. long, including the 2–4 mm. petiole, prolonged 1–2 mm. beyond the lateral leaflets; leaflets 5 or, more often, 7, cuneate-obovate, the terminal rather larger than the others, not above 8 mm. long and 4 mm. wide.
    Inflorescences
    Racemes 4–8-flowered, including a peduncle of 2–4 mm. not longer than the subtending leaf-rhachis; bracts persistent, ± 1 mm. long; pedicels 2–3 mm. long.
    Corolla
    Corolla dull red, caducous.
    Stamens
    Stamens ± 1.5– 2 mm. long, about as long as the deeply divided calyx.
    Fruits
    Fruit 2.5–4 mm. long, 2 mm. wide, 1–2-seeded.
    Seeds
    Seeds orange, oval, flattened, 1.5 mm. long.
