    Diagnostic
    A spreading annual herb up to 30 cm. tall, differing from I. ambelacensis in the petioles 4–10 mm. long, and the shorter, flatter, pale green, 4–8-seeded pods, 7–12 mm. long.
    Habitat
    Commiphora, Acacia deciduous bushland, sometimes in disturbed places; 800–1000 m.; rainfall ± 600 mm.
