    Diagnostic
    Closely related to I. hochstetteri and I. praticola; differing in its usually narrower (2 mm. wide) almost straight 7–10-seeded fruit and the calyx only about half as long as the 4–5 mm. long stamens or less.

    Leaflets glabrous above or almost so.
    Infructescences
    The fruiting raceme is up to 9 cm. long.
