    Diagnostic
    Annual herb differing from T. lugardii Bullock in the following respects:inflorescence smaller, ±10–20-flowered and up to 13 mm. across; peduncle glabrous or nearly so even at the top; outer bracts abruptly and sharply pointed, up to 7 mm. long; inner bracts oblong, green-tipped, ± 3 mm. long; pedicels under 1 mm. long.
    Calyx
    Calyx-tube 3–3 middot;5 mm. long, ± 40-veined, the teeth triangular, 2–3 mm. long.
    Corolla
    Standard 7–8 mm. long.
    Stamens
    Stamens ± 6 mm. long.
    Habitat
    Upland grassland and forest margins, especially in damp places; 1800–2400 m.; rainfall 900–1500 mm.
