    Habit
    Tree to 45 m with red-brown fibrous bark throughout.
    Leaves
    Juvenile leaves ovate to broadly lanceolate; adult discolorous, broadly lanceolate, 10–17 cm long, 1.8–3.5 cm wide; petiole channelled, 1.5–3 cm long.
    Inflorescences
    Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncle flattened, 1–2.2 cm long; pedicels angular, 3–10 mm long.
    Buds
    Buds rostrate; operculum long and narrow, conical or rostrate, 1–1.2 cm long, 5–7 mm wide.
    Calyx
    Calyx-tube hemispherical, 4–5 mm long, 5–7 mm wide.
    Fruits
    Fruits hemispherical or obconical, [3/4-globose-turbinate] 6–11 mm long, [6]7–10 mm wide with level or obliquely convex disc and 4–5 exserted valves.
