    Habit
    Plants 20–50 cm tall.
    Leaves
    Leaves numerous, imbricate, up to 15 cm long, narrowly lanceolate to rarely narrowly ovate, acute; lower leaves largest; upper leaves grading into the floral bracts.
    Inflorescences
    Inflorescence a lax or cylindrical spike, 4–30 cm long.
    Bracts
    Bracts reaching or overtopping the flowers, narrowly ovate to ovate, acuminate.
    Flowers
    Flowers with lime-green petals and lip, lip base maroon, lateral sepals green, dorsal sepal rust-coloured to maroon.
    Calyx
    Dorsal sepal erect, shallowly galeate, 7–10 mm tall and c. 1 mm deep, narrowly obovate to oblong, obtuse to rounded, apiculate. Lateral sepals reflexed, 5–9 mm long, oblong, obtuse, apiculate.
    Spur
    Spur pendent with the apex curved towards the ovary, 7–11 × 2–3 mm, cylindrical.
    Corolla
    Petals erect, 5–9 mm tall, obliquely narrowly ovate to oblong, obliquely retuse.
    Labellum
    Lip pendent, 6–8 mm long, narrowly oblong, obtuse.
    Anthers
    Anther semi-pendent, 1.5–2 mm long.
    Rostellum
    Rostellum 1–2 mm tall, partially flanking the anther, with a deep notch in the front which contains the viscidium.
    Stigma
    Stigma rear lobe smaller than the lateral lobes, shortly pedicellate, horizontal.
    Ovary
    Ovary 1–1.5 cm long.
