    Habit
    A subglaucous, little-branched herb, minutely pubescent throughout, ± 60 cm. tall.
    Stem
    Stems slender; internodes 3.5–4 cm.
    Ocrea
    Ocreae 7 mm. long, not tightly appressed, terminally fringed with setae 7–9 mm. long.
    Leaves
    Leaves 3–4 × 1.5–2 cm., elliptic-ovate but deeply incised and irregularly dentate, attenuate at each end, shortly puberulous.
    Petiole
    Petioles up to 15 mm. long.
    Inflorescences
    Inflorescence elongate.
    Bracts
    Bracts 3.5–4 cm. apart.
    Pedicel
    Pedicels 5–8 mm. long.
    Flowers
    Flowers 4–5 mm. long; tepals oblong, pubescent, narrowly winged at the back.
    Fruits
    Fruit 8 mm. long, with 3 horizontal prickles 3 mm. long.
    Habitat
    Unknown; about 900 m.
