Morphology General Habit
Annual, more or less erect, up to 30 cm tall, but usually much smaller; stems slender, glabrous to sparsely pubescent

Leaves mostly in whorls of 4–6; blades filiform to narrowly linear or oblanceolate, 5–17 x up to c. 1 mm, acute but not awned at the apex, scabrid with±forwardly directed hairs along margins
