    Habit
    Perennial herb rooting at the nodes, 3–16 cm. tall.
    Leaves
    Leaves suborbicular, 6–25 mm. in diam., crenate at the margins, cordate or subcordate at the base; petioles up to 16 cm. long, appressed-pilose with the hairs directed upwards or glabrous.
    Flowers
    Flowers 10–14 mm. in diam., yellow, solitary on peduncles 3–16 cm. long.
    Calyx
    Sepals 3.5–4 mm. long, spreading, glabrous.
    Corolla
    Petals narrowly oblong to ligulate, glabrous.
    Fruits
    Achenes in a subspherical head, broadly ellipsoid, shortly beaked, with narrowly bordered margin, glabrous.

    Cape Provinces, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Lesotho, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Zambia
