Erect, decumbent or prostrate annual, 5–35 cm

Rare in Iraq, only found in a few widely spaced localities. W, C & Mediterranean Europe, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Caucasus, N & NW Iran, C Asia (Turkmenistan to Tajikistan), N Africa (Morocco to Libya), Macaronesia.
