Palea of lower sterile floret hyaline; 1.5-1.75 mm long. Fertile florets bisexual. Fertile lemma orbicular; 1.25-1.5 mm long; 1.25-1.5 mm wide; coriaceous; without keel; 5-7 -veined. Lemma surface glabrous. Lemma margins involute. Lemma apex obtuse. Palea orbicular; 1-1.5 mm long; coriaceous; 2 -veined.
    Flowers
    Anthers 3; 0.75-2 mm long.
    Fruits
    Caryopsis with adherent pericarp.
