    Similis P. longifolio, sed foliis minoribus angustioribus,staminodio glabro et habitatione differt.

    General Description

    Pianta alta 40 cm rizoma caulescente, di 8 mm di diametro, racchiuso in secche guaine di 5 cm di lunghezza; le radici dure, flessuose, coperte da corti e grossi peli di 3 mm di diametro; le joglie distiche, coriacee, lineari, acuminate, carinate sui/a pagina inferiore lungo la venatura centrale, guainanti lo stelo alia base e imbricate con le fog lie vicine, lung he 25 cm di lunghezza e 1 cm di larghezza. lnfiorescenze erette, cilindriche alte sino a 40 cm, sui peduncolo 2 o 3 distaccate e schiacciate guaine ovate ed acuminate di 6 cm x 1,5 cm; le bratte fiorali distiche gonfiate, ovate acuteacuminate di 5 x 2 cm portanti 5 o 7 fiori in successione; ovario cilindrico pedicellato sub-triangolare lungo 5 cm; sepali e petali verdi con venalure verdi piu scuro; illabello verde soffuso di rosa-marrone davanti a! label/a, la parte interna con macchie verde scuro, lo staminoide verde brillante; sepali dorsali ovati, margini ottusi ed ondulati, glabri 3,8 x 1,2 cm; sepali laterali uniti lungo it margine inferno sino all'apice ovati, concavi, ottusi, di 3,8 cm x 2,2 cm; petali lineari, pendenti, attorcigliati 8 o 9 volte base larga, lunghi 7 cm e larghi 6 mm alia base e 3 mm per la maggior parte del/a lunghezza; label/a calceolato, oblungo, ovoidale margini involuti, i margini laterali con un corno smussato su ogni lata, 3,5 x 2 cm; colonna corta, lo staminode subcordato totalmente glabra di 4 x 4 mm.
